The Historic Camden Campus is a combination of living history, historic preservation, and museum exhibits. The Revolutionary War Visitors Center, the Colonial Artisan Market, McCaa’s Tavern, and the Nature Trail are free to the public. We do ask for a small donation to visit the historic homes and living history portion of the campus. We also provided guide battlefield tours.

Where to Begin

The Visitors Center is a great place to kick off your visit. A state of the art museum provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the southern campaign of the American Revolution and the Liberty Trail. You can also plan the rest of your visit to the Historic Camden Campus and hallowed grounds of Camden’s two battlefields.

Daily Tours

Historic Camden offers three guided tour options. A guided tour of the Kershaw-Cornwallis House at 10:30am & 12:30pm each Monday-Saturday. Each Wednesday-Sunday we offer a 2pm tour that includes the Kershaw-Cornwallis and Craven Houses as well as McCaa Tavern. These guided tours allow visitors to take a step back in time.

Battleground Tours

We have the honor of offering guided tours of the Battle of Camden battlefield. These tours are typically at 2pm Wednesday-Sunday but we highly recommend calling ahead to check availability and schedule your desired date.

The Historic Camden Foundation is not state or federally funded so we relay on individual donations. Even a small donation truly helps. So please send a gift and make a difference!
